Little Bird Earthen Red Ceramic Tumbler

My Little Bird logo has made his way onto a tumbler! Wheel thrown on beautiful Earthen red clay that fires to this lovely dark brown/red. The design was painted using the sgraffito method on top of turquoise and cactus green. Tumblers are great for small drinks, candle holders, pencil holders, toothbrush holders, etc. The options are almost endless.

Sgraffito is a technique where potters can put a layer of glaze or slip on a piece of pottery, let it dry, then use a pottery carving tool to scratch at it to show the base layer of color. Sgraffito derives from an Italian word meaning “to scratch”.
