Black & White Sunshine & Hurricane Coffee Mug

"Sunshine mixed with a little Hurricane" - How I describe myself most Monday mornings! The outside of the mug is black and white with the design carved into it. The design is the sun on one side, and the hurricane cheer on the other. The inside of the mug is a bright, fun orange. On the bottom is the little bird from my logo... but with a mussed hairdo (for the hurricane winds, of course). 

This mug sits comfortably in your hand with a little thumb rest on the handle.

Sgraffito is a technique where potters can put a layer of glaze or slip on a piece of pottery, let it dry, then use a pottery carving tool to scratch at it to show the base layer of color. Sgraffito derives from an Italian word meaning “to scratch”.
