"Find Yourself and Be That!" This wheel thrown mug was created using the sgraffito technique. The saying is surrounded by a maze, and YES, it absolutely is solve-able! A yellow star starts the maze, and the purple heart marks the end (or vice versa). The inside of the mug is decorated with bright turquoise!! The mug comes complete with a satisfying thumb rest!

Sgraffito is a technique where potters can put a layer of glaze or slip on a piece of pottery, let it dry, then use a pottery carving tool to scratch at it to show the base layer of color. Sgraffito derives from an Italian word meaning “to scratch”.
